In this article we will explain the tool settings and their effects on tool behavior.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Tool settings explained - Linqur.com Tutorial\" width=\"643\" height=\"362\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_N1hFiZvdLg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LTI tool version<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/8af6a3a8-436e-4462-9112-50afb38920a0\/image.png\" alt=\"LTI version\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tool version can be set to &#8220;Legacy (1.1\/2.0)&#8221; or &#8220;Advanced (1.3)&#8221;.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tool name<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/8f44eb07-1f5a-41f6-91f7-288dd7ec71b2\/image.png\" alt=\"Custom instance name\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The name of the instance (tool name) can be set to any value you desire. This is only for internal use.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enrolment duration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/15c3acf0-aecd-4fbb-85cc-fba7e8a44aaf\/image.png\" alt=\"Enrolment duration\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enrolment duration will determine the amount of time a user will have acces to you tool after registering the first time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enrolment period<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/710ae72e-9a0b-494c-8da6-6807b1356d73\/image.png\" alt=\"enrollment period\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The enrolment period will determine during what period a user will be able to view the learning object (SCORM). It can have both a start and an endtime. Setting a start time or end time is not mandatory.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maximum enrolled users<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/dbbb4fe1-685d-4216-a1b0-fe364b992e10\/image.png\" alt=\"maximum enrolled users\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When set to 0 there is no limit. Any other value will determine the maximum number of users that is allowed to register to this specific LTI tool. This number can be changed at any time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/108ca4c7-e8c3-4d57-8802-bffd514bca18\/image.png\" alt=\"Roles\n\n\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently the platform only supports the Student role. If you wish to utilize different role, please let us know.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Secret<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/7675da1e-d985-4256-bca3-b07e10bd3bbb\/image.png\" alt=\"secret\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The secret will be generated by default, but can be changed at any time. It is also possible to use the same secret for more than one LTI tool.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grade synchronisation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/3acd4cc5-dd3e-4411-80a2-eb06e81d2bc7\/image.png\" alt=\"grade synchronisation\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Grade synchronisation can be set to Yes or No. This will determine if the external system (LTI Consumer) will receive grades from the learning object (SCORM).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Completion prior to synchronisation.&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/1b62bd6b-80e6-4b61-82e4-8a93a08f8d10\/image.png\" alt=\"Completion prior to synchronisation\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Can be set to Yes or No. When set to Yes, it will only push the grade when the Learning Object is set to &#8220;complete&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">User synchronisation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/135c09dd-5233-41b3-89a5-e6718d9519c3\/image.png\" alt=\"user synchronisation\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/0b55e1e5-1d89-4617-93cd-759f48146f0d\/image.png\" alt=\"user default values\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some LMS&#8217;s support user synchronization. This setting will determine its behavior.&nbsp;<br>Usually a user is registered to a tool when the user opens the tool in the LMS.
